Crossings at Olde Towne

Gaithersburg, MD

Railroad Heritage

Inspired by the City of Gaithersburg’s architectural and railroad heritage, the design features two prominent towers on the street façade that frame the entrance plaza and create a gateway to Olde Towne. Projecting bays with large glazed openings and accent colors define the building’s corners, adding depth and visual interest. The design respects its historic context while introducing a strong architectural presence that reinforces the character and identity of the district.

The north façade, located just 30 feet from the CSX rail line, is new construction that thoughtfully recalls the industrial language of historic northeastern warehouses. To address the proximity to active tracks, the building incorporates extensive soundproofing to ensure acoustic comfort for residents.

Amenities include two landscaped courtyards, offering residents inviting outdoor spaces for relaxation, socializing, and connection with nature. One is centered around a resort-style pool, while the other features outdoor kitchens and inviting gathering spaces.
